    John Floyd "The Mouth of Mayberry" returns to Mayberry Days for four shows over two days with afternoons and evenings full of comedy suitable for the whole family. John's clean comedic talent has taken him across the globe entertaining millions of people. He has worked with numerous artists including Milton Berle, Frankie Valli, Jamie Foxx, Chubby Checker and Martina McBride.

  • MAYBERRY DAYS BUFFET DINNER AND ENTERTAINMENT

    Tickets $50 (includes tax)

    Includes country buffet dinner, golf awards presentation and entertainment from the Special Guests and tribute artists.

    Dinner guests have the opportunity to meet the Special Guests at an autograph session from 4:30-6:00 p.m. Avoid the long lines on Saturday! They will have memorabilia, art and photos for autographs. There is a nominal fee for autographed items during the festival.

    The country buffet meal will be served from 5:00-7:00 p.m. David Browning and Allan Newsome (The Mayberry Deputy and Floyd the Barber) host the evening of golf awards and entertainment from 6:00-8:00 pm.

    The Mayberry Days Golf Tournament (aka "The Emmett") is held at Cross Creek Country Club before the dinner.

    The Tams travel all over the country and are returning to Mount Airy during Mayberry Days for one final night of beach music at the Blackmon Amphitheatre.

    The "Mighty" Tams have been elected into the Beach Music Hall of Fame, the Georgia Hall of Fame and the Atlanta Music Hall of Fame. They have also been named "Beach Band of the Decade."

    Rodney Dillard, one of the original Darling Boys from The Andy Griffith Show, returns with his band to Mayberry Days for another great bluegrass concert, filled with songs performed on the show and original Dillards hits. Rodney is a member of the International Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame and two time Grammy Nominee. Dillardgrass - often imitated, never duplicated!

    Neal Brower has acquired a wealth of knowledge about The Andy Griffith Show from his years of correspondence and contact with the cast members and crew. Don't miss this fascinating discussion with Clint Howard sharing answers to insightful questions and clips from the show.

    Neal Brower is the author of Mayberry 101 and taught "The Andy Griffith Show: An In Depth Study" at Community Colleges throughout North Carolina for many years. His lectures are also presented at the Andy Griffith Museum during the year.

    The Andy Griffith Show Rerun Watchers Club Annual Meeting (sort of a Mayberry town hall meeting for fans) will follow Neal's lecture, and everyone is invited. Meet TAGSRWC members, hear reports from TAGSRWC chapters, get updates about the past year's Mayberry activities, and learn what's in store for the year ahead. TAGSRWC awards are presented, and winners of select Mayberry Days contests also receive their trophies.

    The Lisemby Family will end Mayberry Days with a special concert at the Blackmon Amphitheatre on Sunday evening. The group consists of three generations of Lisembys - all family - traveling together presenting the Gospel by way of live uplifting music and singing. Many of the songs that they present are original compositions. The Lisembys have 30 recordings to their credit over the years. The Surry Arts Council invites everyone to attend and be blessed.
